Kamasi Washington has a new song out right now called "Street Fighter Mas," and it's awesome.

The American Jazz saxophonist recently released a music video for the new single, and though the track isn't really filled with references to the classic fighting game series (as it's an instrumental piece), the music video 100% is.

In the Street Fighter Mas video, Washington goes on a quest to find a worthy opponent in Street Fighter 2. During his journey, the musician is joined by none other than prominent fighting game community member and co-creator of Cross Counter, Ryan "Gootecks" Gutierrez.

Eventually, Washington comes across a foe worth facing -- former Capcom employee and top fighting game competitor Peter "Combofiend" Rosas. The two end up battling it out on a Street Fighter 2 arcade cabinet, but not before Rosas puts a hurt on other opponents while Washington takes a number and waits.

Throughout the music video, we get glimpses of other Street Fighter references. Flashes of EVO moment #37 hit Washington as he mentally prepares for his match with Combofiend, and he even sees a pixelated Hadoken suspended mid-air in real life.

Street Fighter Mas features a Hip Hop-style drum beat with excellent saxophone and horn tracks laid over it. The single can be found on Kamasi Washington's upcoming album Heaven and Earth, which will become available on June 22nd.
