We're now just over a month away from the largest fighting game tournament in the world, and Capcom is providing even more electrifying reasons to be excited for EVO with their new merchandise.

The publisher announced a special Street Fighter 2 tribute t-shirt for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition for those in attendance at EVO 2018 with the proceeds getting added to the tournaments prize pool specifically for those that place outside of the top eight.

The artwork featured is a reference to the iconic Street Fighter 2 Super Nintendo cover with Ryu, Chun Li and Blanka, but with 'Hot Ryu', Blanka-chan and battle costume Chun Li with the plushy green beast-man having just mowed over the bearded hero.

Each shirt will cost $10 and is available to those that have already registered for EVO and to those who register before the cut off date of July 20th. If Capcom manages to sell 1,000 of these shirts, everybody who registers for the Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition tournament will be eligible to get the shirt for free unless they had previously purchased it.

All of the revenue made from the shirts, up to $10,000, will be added to the prize pool for the SF5 EVO tournament and be distributed between the players who place ninth through 32nd at the event.

EVO 2018 will be taking place August 3rd though 5th at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. You can check out the shirt design in the gallery below along with the original Street Fighter 2 artwork.
