Studio Trigger and Arc System Works are teasing a new project with a countdown website

Could we see a Kill la Kill fighter or a Guilty Gear anime?

The developer Arc System Works already has a successful collaboration with a popular anime studio/ property this year with their team-based fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ, and now it appears that another one is in the works.

Animation Studio Trigger recently launched a countdown website with only the word "countdown" followed by the time remaining which doesn't mention the developer, but something else does.

An image hosted on the countdown site's server shows the text "Trigger x Arc System Works" likely meaning that either a new game is in development using one of Studio Trigger's properties or an anime adaptation is in the works for one of ArcSys' franchises.

If this is indeed a video game whether a brand new game or BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle DLC, the most likely Trigger properties to receive what would be Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia or the currently running Darling in the Franxx.

Given that this is hosted by Studio Trigger, the website may be pointing to a video game property like BlazBlue or Guilty Gear receiving an anime adaptation from the studio known for its action and over-the-top characters.

The countdown is set to end on June 15th at 8:00 p.m. PDT, so we likely won't need to wait much longer to find out what the collaboration will be. You can check out the full image teaser below, and let us know what you'd like to see come out of this collaboration in the comments.
