After a three month wait, we finally got more information on "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate." It was revealed that all the previous fighters from earlier titles would return as veterans. Every single character.

If we count the Inklings, Ridley, each individual "Echo Fighter," every Pokemon from the Pokemon Trainer, and the Mii Fighters as combatants that occupy their own slots, then that means there are currently 68 announced characters. One of the returning veterans is Little Mac from Super Smash Bros. 4.

There exists a stereotype about Little Mac users. More specifically, "For Glory Little Macs." Since this particular fighter's recovery is so bad, players that use him online tend to have a reputation for self destructing.

Improper usage of Little Mac's side special is usually the culprit behind most online warriors that fall under this category. That's because in Super Smash Bros. 4, Little Mac entered his helpless state whenever he went airborne with this attack.

Even though Little Mac was originally designed to have an intentionally bad recovery in order to balance out his extreme strengths, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate appears to be trying to remedy this problem. Yes, Little Mac's recovery appears to have benefited from a buff.

As demonstrated on the Official Super Smash Bros. Ultimate website via his mini reveal trailer, Little Mac's side special no longer puts him in a helpless state afterwards. He is now permitted to use his up special, jump, and even directional air dodge following this action.
