Big news from Bandai Namco as they announced a new tournament circuit for Dragon Ball FighterZ just moments ago. The "Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour" is coming and slated for 2018 / 2019.

Details are scarce at the moment, but from what we can see it appears as though this will be a year-long tournament series akin to something like the Capcom Pro Tour or the Tekken World Tour.

According to Bandai Namco, the first stop on the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour is CEO 2018 in Daytona Beach, Florida on June 29th.

The company's tweet reads: "TODAY we're excited to announce the #DRAGONBALLFighterZ WORLD TOUR! The inaugural stop for the World Tour begins at the @CEOGaming Fighting Game Championships with registrations open now and ending on June 19th: CEO Gaming. More details will be revealed soon..."

Dragon Ball FighterZ quickly cemented itself as a staple at major tournaments in the fighting game community after its release back in January of this year. Usually the co-main event or main event at competitions due to its high entrants, a full-blown tournament circuit for the game certainly makes sense.
