Full EVO 2018 game schedule, streaming guide and commentator line-up announced
Whether you're playing or tuning in, this is sure to be an exciting weekend
We're on the cusp of the biggest fighting game event of the year finally kicking off with EVO 2018, and now we have a better idea of what to expect for the games and activities happening this weekend and when to expect them.
The big event's organizers recently revealed the brackets for the various tournaments taking place starting this Friday, and now they've released the full schedule and line-up of games and talent so you know just how early you can arrive and prepare for the massive weekend.
Doors will open on Thursday, August 2nd at 12:00 p.m. PDT for those who want to make sure they can pick up their badges early before things get too crazy on Friday where the doors will open starting at 6:30 a.m. — though the main event won't start until 8:00 a.m. pools.
We previously knew the order of the Sunday finals games, but now we know what time to tune in to see the best players in the world duke it out in their respective titles with Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 kicking things off at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday and Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition closing out EVO 2018 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The final schedule also details when we should expect the Saturday finals games to begin with three of the eight mainstage titles having their final showdown a day before the rest starting with Injustice 2 at 12:00 p.m. and ending with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U at 8:00 p.m.
As for talent manning the commentator stations this weekend, the final schedule shows almost 60 of the FGC's best stepping up to the plate including Tasty Steve, James Chen, Seth Killian, Markman and IFC|Yipes among many others. You can take a look at the full mainstage schedule for playing and streaming in the gallery below plus the full commentator line-up, and be sure to check out the venue schedule after the jump.
