We're less than a week away from the start of EVO 2018, an event that serves as a Mecca for the fighting game community the world over.

Almost all of the biggest, baddest and best players are slated to be in attendance as they battle it out for the most revered honor of being EVO champion. Street Fighter 5 will yet again be the headline title and Vesper Arcade has taken a close examination of the top of the competition.

He and a friend highlight the recent achievements of the top five players on the Capcom Pro Tour, FD|Fujimura, FOX|Tokido, PG|Infiltration, UYU|NL and CYG|Daigo Umehara, and try to determine who has the best shot at winning it all.

Tokido is the current reigning champion and though he's had a strong year already in 2018, his most recent results see him struggling a tad more than usual.

The number six spot on the CPT leaderboards is the United States' biggest hope, Ghost|NuckleDu, who is hot off a win at Defend the North.

Give the breakdown and analysis a watch and then chime in to the comments with your picks on who you think is most likely to hold the first place trophy above their heads next Sunday evening.
