Base Form Goku and Vegeta received their character trailers today to show off the fighters in action as the next to DLC combatants coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ in early August, but that wasn't the only major announcement to come out about the game today.

On the OpenRec.tv livestream where Goku and Vegeta were first shown off, the game's producer Tomoko Hiroki came on to announce another update will be coming to the game in August that will bring with it balance changes to the majority of the cast plus some new online and Training Mode settings.

24 of the game's current 28 characters will undergo balance adjustments which are reportedly said to be primarily focused on buffing characters this time around. Goku Black, Adult Gohan, Super Saiyan Vegeta and Super Saiyan Goku will not be adjusted in the upcoming patch because the developers appear to be happy with their current builds.

Similarly to Dragon Ball FighterZ's previous major patch, the developers released a graphic depicting which characters will be on the receiving end of changes with the list though we'll hopefully get some more concrete details with the Dragon Ball Games 2018 stream coming later this week.

New Training Mode dummy options will also be added to the game at that time as well as a new way to filter online matches by rank.

Frieza, Nappa, Gotenks, Android 21, Cell, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Captain Ginyu, Tien, Fused Zamasu, Beerus, Vegito, Broly, Android 18, Kid Buu, Majin Buu, Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Yamcha, Bardock, Krillin, Android 16, Hit, Teen Gohan, Trunks and Piccolo will all be receiving some sort of adjustments in August's update.

No specific date was given, but they are aiming to release the patch — plus presumably Vegeta and Goku — during the second week of August likely to avoid any conflict with EVO taking place August 3–5.
