Skullgirls 2nd Encore reportedly coming to Nintendo Switch
Anime Expo is currently underway in Los Angeles, California. While we don't typically see many fighting game announcements come out of the event, it seems that one was indeed made and it involves another fighter coming to the Nintendo Switch.
It is being reported that Skullgirls 2nd Encore is going to be released on Nintendo's console / handheld hybrid.
Twitter user AtroxChobatsu shared a photo of a slide from the Lab Zero panel that took place at Anime Expo showing Skullgirls 2nd Encore on Switch. No release date was given.
It does not appear that an official statement has been released by Lab Zero or the game's developers just yet, but the photo does look authentic.
Skullgirls 2nd Encore will join a number of different fighting games on the Nintendo Switch including Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers, SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy (set for release in September), and of course Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which is due out in December.
If you've never seen Skullgirls before, this title is a Versus-style fighting game that lets you choose up to three characters for fast-paced team battles. There's a colorful cast of interesting characters to select from including Cerebella, Peacock, Painwheel, Ms. Fortune, and more.
Encore also brings with it the post-launch DLC characters: Squigly, Big Band, Fukua, Eliza, Beowulf, and Robo Fortune. For more information and the Skullgirls 2nd Encore's launch trailer, be sure to hit the jump.
