Arika releases patch notes for Fighting EX Layer's upcoming update along with a promise to consider player requests to add to the title
Though they may be a little hard to follow
Fighting EX Layer finally shipped late last week after starting out as just an April Fool's joke just over a year ago in 2017, and it appears the title is getting some more initial support from the development team this week.
The game's developer, Arika, announced that a patch would be coming to the new fighter late last week, and now we know what changes to expect in the next update for bug fixes (for the most part).
Arika's Marina took to Twitter today to detail what's coming in the update for Fighting EX Layer though some of them can be difficult to understand. This update appears to be focused on fixing bugs present in the game and not affecting the current game's balance aside from possibly a change to the 'Desperation' Gougi.
Among the patch notes is the announcement that they will be removing one of the stages from online play (they do not specify which) because it causes "process dropout" to occur on certain PlayStation 4 systems though it will return once the issue is resolved.
They also announced that the development team is considering additions and corrections submitted by players to expand FEXL beyond what some feel is a bare bones launch, but Arika notes that these changes take time and ask for the fans to be patient for more news.
No date or time has been given as to when the update will go live beyond a general time frame of this week, and they also state that there will also be more adjustments that they are waiting to talk about until the update is available.
