The Capcom Pro Tour is making one of its stops this year at Tokyo Game Show 2018 over in Japan. On September 22nd through the 23rd, the world's best Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition players will battle it out in another of the tour's Premier events.

Outside of the CPT points players will be able to earn by placing high in the competition, the TGS Premier event is going to have a strong prize pool. According to Capcom's Japanese Pro Tour website, the total prize pot comes in at a whopping 10,000,000 yen ($90,363 USD).

This means that the first place winner of the tournament will be walking away with 5,000,000 yen (roughly $45,200 USD). You can check out the prize breakdown for top 8 below.

Adding even more incentive to do well at this event, each top 8 placer will be issued an official Japan Esports Union pro player license. "CAPCOM, according to JeSU rules and regulations, can recommend the top 8 players of the Tournament, an official tournament of JeSU, receive JeSU Official Pro Licenses," the official rules state.

These licenses allow players in Japan to compete for money without violating the nation's gambling laws. As noted by the CPT website, players outside of Japan will be able to win prize money at the Tokyo Game Show event, but will not be eligible to earn a JeSU pro license.

Registration is open now over on Smash.gg, and you'll have until August 31st to do so.
