Mayor Cody Travers recently joined the Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition roster as the fourth Season 3 fighter. While he hasn't even been out for a full week yet, impressions of him so far have been fairly good.

Recently, Tyrant and PackZ on Frame Advantage decided to take a closer look at Cody. They'll be handing down a verdict on whether or not Cody looks like a strong character or not.

So what does it take for a character to be strong in Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition. According to PackZ, top tiers need a "robbery factor" and some "brain dead options." Essentially, high damage output and attacks that can be easily hit confirmed while being safe on block.

Notably, Cody's V-Skill is said to potentially be the best anti-air in the game. This is thanks to it's ability to hit on both sides without requiring any motions -- cross-ups won't be confusing. The main downside is its lack of okizeme.

PackZ then points out that Cody's main weaknesses are his walk speed and throw game. He then shows a situation that demonstrates why Cody being +3 on block isn't too big of a dig if he is left outside of throw range.
