Earlier: It's old school vs. new blood as IFC|Yipes, one of the most notable players in the Marvel vs. Capcom scene, and PG|Punk, one of the absolute best in the world of Street Fighter 5, clash in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

Yipes boasts multiple top 8 appearances at EVO in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, with a first place finish in 2007. Punk had an incredible break out year in 2017, spending some time as the undisputed strongest SF5 player in the business, finishing first at ELeague, second at EVO and ninth at Capcom Cup.

The latest installment in the MvC series, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, dropped back in September, and both players have been grinding away for the last four months.

Yipes has invited the young Punk for a grueling first to 100 set in Infinite to determine which of these two competitors has the edge as of right now.

The set is already in progress, with Punk trailing quite a bit as of the writing of this article. One hundred wins is a tall order though, and a lot can change as momentum shifts and grooves ebb.
