Ultra Fight Night that will take place at the KIT 2018 in Tennessee is looking like quite a stacked event. There is certainly some top tier talent present from the fighting game community at this event.

There will be some special exhibition matches this week that will pit some of these top players against one another. Fans of Street Fighter 5, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and Injustice 2 might want to tune in when these sets take place.

For Street Fighter 5, PG|Punk will be going up against Rise|MenaRD. Both players had a phenomenal year in 2017.

Meanwhile, there will also be an exhibition between FORT|Cloud805 and FOX|SonicFox. The game that they'll be playing? Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

Finally, there's one more match up that is sure to cause some hype for the scene. Noble|Semiij and Circa|ForeverKing will be going at it in Injustice 2.

Let's take a closer look at these upcoming exhibitions.

MenaRD vs. Punk

During the first half of 2017, it was widely believed that Punk was the best Street Fighter 5 player in the world. His tournament run was certainly difficult to argue against.

It seemed as though Punk was unstoppable. In a lot of people's minds, Punk was the favorite to win EVO 2017. Unfortunately for him, it was FOX|Tokido that would take first place.

Then all of a sudden, Tokido was the best player. He was then the favorite to take Capcom Cup 2017. MenaRD would be his final opponent.

In an epic set, MenaRD would reset the bracket against Tokido then won more money for a fighting game tournament than anyone in history. And he's only 18 years old. He's sure to go far in the future too.

So we've seen MenaRD face off against Tokido. How will he fare against Punk? These two clearly have a lot of talent.

The odds might be in MenaRD's favor since he is a Birdie main while Punk tends to use Karin the most. Birdie is often seen as a bad match up for Karin.

Still, Punk is known for having a number of pocket characters like Cammy and Akuma. It's likely that we'll see him pull one of these characters out in order to face off against MenaRD.

SonicFox vs. Cloud805

SonicFox is known for being one of the best players in... just about any fighting game he's ever touched. This includes Injustice, Mortal Kombat X, Injustice 2, Skullgirls, Dead or Alive 5, and, more recently, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

With that said, Cloud805 is quite the veteran when it comes to the Marvel vs. Capcom series. While he wasn't the winner of the tournament that day, he was a top 8 finalist at EVO 2013.

More recently, he was the player who won the Battle for the Stones tournament. He ended up taking home the Infinity Gauntlet trophy as a result of this.

Still, the sets that have occurred between Cloud805 and SonicFox have been very back and forth. While Cloud805 might have a slight edge at this exhibition, history has shown us that counting SonicFox out is a huge mistake...

Semiij vs. ForeverKing

There have been a number of notables in the Injustice 2 scene. Semiij and ForeverKing are definitely strong players in the scene.

While ForeverKing is often recognized as one of the best Batman players, Semiij is often seen as the best Catwoman player in the world.

ForeverKing won KIT 2014 with Batman in Injustice a few years back. Will that victory give him some sort of edge this time around?

It's sure to be an interesting match up. I'm not entirely sure who is favored here. We'll just have to wait and see what happens...

These exhibitions will be first-to-10 sets. I have a feeling that none of these will be complete blowups. We can probably expect some very hype back and forth sets tomorrow.

You can be sure to see us covering Kumite in Tennessee 2018 for these sets. Things will be starting up on January 6, 2018 at 10:00 P.M. EST (7:00 P.M. PST).
