Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition patch notes released, reportedly not final

NOTE: After many painstaking hours, all of the characters' notes have been translated and are present in this story.

In a surprise move this morning, the patch notes for Street Fighter 5 came out, though they were subsequently deleted from the Japanese CFN page.

While this presumably means that Capcom weren't meaning to release them quite yet, they're already out there, so it's our job to bring that information to all of our readers.

These patch notes are in Japanese, so I'll be spending the next few hours translating them and posting them for you, so stay tuned until the changes for all characters have been added to the story.

It should be noted that one of the Capcom Street Fighter Twitter accounts sent out a message that these changes weren't entirely final, and that the proper balance change list would be uploaded within the next few days, though it's likely that much of what is listed here will still be relevant, although probably more detailed than in its current form.

While this is pure speculation on my part, it seems probable that the final changes will be more detailed - many moves simply say "changed" here, but not entirely in what way, and that's likely to be clarified in the final changes. Either way, while this is a list from Capcom, they've explicitly stated it's not quite final, so take what you see here with a grain of salt.

General Changes (to all characters)

• V-Triggers within combos will now count as two moves instead of one for combo scaling purposes.

• Active frames on regular throws have been increased from 2 frames to 3 frames.

Ryu

Shoulder Throw (Forward Throw)
• Stun has been increased from 120 to 150.
• Circumstances after landing it have been changed.

Standing Light Punch (Regular/V-Trigger State)
• Hitbox has been changed.
• Hurtbox has been changed.
• Adjusted the move's collision box during movement.
• Pushback on hit has been increased.
• Pushback on block has been increased.

Standing Medium Punch (Regular/V-Trigger State)
• Adjusted the move's collision box during movement.

• The move's full frames have been changed from 44 frames to 42 frames (there have been no changes to hitstun or blockstun).

V-Trigger Hadoken
• All Hadoken types (light, medium, heavy) are now 42 frames (hitstun and blockstun has also been made the same for them all).
• Level 1 charge's damage has been increased from 70 to 80.
• Level 1's blockstun has been changed from -6 to -2.
• Level 2 charge's damage has been increased from 90 to 100.
• Level 2's blockstun has been changed from -4 to 0.
• Level 3's charge's damage has been increased from 120 to 130.

V-Trigger EX Hadoken
• The move's full frames have been changed from 43 frames to 40 frames (there have been no changes to hitstun or blockstun).

V-Trigger Shoryuken
• Its airborne juggle points have been relaxed.

V-Trigger EX Shoryuken
• Stun value has been changed from 250 to 200.
• Its airborne juggle points have been relaxed.

Jodan Sokuto Geri
• This new move has been added to Ryu's arsenal.
