It has been reported by TheNerdMag and PlaystationLifestyle that an "Injustice 2 Legendary Edition" has popped up on retailer websites. These were listed on Amazon and Impulse, a Malaysian website.

Soon after they were spotted, any references to the mysterious title were taken down on Amazon. Here was the description that was previously posted:

Power up and build the ultimate version of your favorite DC legends in Injustice 2 – winner of IGN’s best fighting game of 2017. Includes 10 additional characters including Darseid, Hellboy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles plus 5 premiere skins.

This release strategy fits NRS's MO. Whenever they've finished up the DLC for a particular game, an "ultimate" or "complete" edition is released that contains all of the extra content.

Injustice 2 has had ten fighters released beyond the base roster. They are Darkseid, Red Hood, Sub-Zero, Starfire, Raiden, Black Manta, Hellboy, Atom, Enchantress, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Of course, there are a number of costumes that will be included as well.

Supposedly, this new edition will be releasing on March 28th. If development on the post-launch content for the latest NetherRealm Studios title has ended, then what are they working on now? Will there be a new announcement for another Mortal Kombat title in the not so distant future?

Listed below is the ad that was put up on Impulse.
