The beginnings of an epic rivalry that's too big for one community

CO|GO1 is widely considered to be one of the greatest Street Fighter 5 players in the world right now. His tournament results are extremely impressive.

Meanwhile, FOX|SonicFox is an outstanding fighting game player that is most often known for his feats in NetherRealm Studios games. In fact, he could be considered to be the best at Injustice, Mortal Kombat X, and Injustice 2.

The game that's been on everyone's minds lately, however, is Dragon Ball FighterZ. Recently, GO1 won a Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament in Osaka Japan during the Mixupnight Twitch stream.

To everyone's surprise, GO1 had a call out to make at the conclusion. According to HiFight, he stated on the mic that "next is you, SonicFox" (essentially saying that "you're next, SonicFox").

Evidently, SonicFox has been making a number of waves within the Dragon Ball FighterZ meta. His performance in online matches has been phenomenal.

It's clear that GO1 wanted SonicFox to know that he was gunning for him in this game. This title is creating new rivalries that would otherwise have never happened.

SonicFox is definitely not one to back down from a challenge, however. He is player that often prevails against fierce competition (and usually makes it look easy).

It didn't take long for word of this occurrence to reach SonicFox himself. As you might expect, he had some words to return to GO1.

Things will get very interesting upon these two's next meeting at a tournament. When might we expect this?

EVO 2018 will start on August 3rd and last until the 5th. More than likely though, we'll see these two go at it before then.
