Blanka's Story Mode costume in Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition is goofy, awesome, and getting a lot of attention

Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition's next DLC character is Blanka, the electrifying world warrior who debuted in Street Fighter 2. As a nice surprise to fans, the green combatant will become available for purchase on February 20th.
Capcom unveiled Blanka's official gameplay trailer this week, and with it came a showing of the character's various alternate costumes. While the nostalgia outfit -- which reverts Blanka back to his SF2 days -- and his Battle costume look great, it was his story outfit that seemed to turn the most heads.
In Street Fighter 5, Blanka is approached by a mysterious salesman who wishes to mass produce plush dolls based on Blanka's likeness. Naturally, his actual Story costume sees him transformed into a life-sized version of the plushy.
Social media quickly began sharing thoughts on the wacky costume. One Twitter user wrote, "if you play Blanka in SF5 and you don't use the plush costume, i frankly don't want to be seen with you in public."
Top player and legend in the fighting game community FOX|Justin Wong further expressed his love for the costume as well. "Confirmed the best costume in any fighting game right here! BLANKA PLUSH BALL ATTACK GO!!!" Wong wrote.
For the most part, it seems like the costume has been well-received. It's completely goofy, but it's certainly creative and fits the character's "troll" motif.
Much like anything that gets a bit of attention on the internet, we're starting to see memes and jokes involving the Blanka costume hit the internet.
The official Street Fighter Twitter account actually put out a handful of humorous images that plant plushy Blanka into a classic photo and painting. Seeing Blanka sit atop a metal beam with construction workers from 1932 will have you thinking that one of these things is not like the others...
Of course, the FGC's most prominent meme-maker, DemonDan14, also created a couple of funny pictures featuring the costume. Plush Blanka in space and getting out of bed -- a reference to his invincible EX Up Ball on wake up -- will surely put a smile on your face.
Even the official Mega Man Twitter account joined in on the fun, sharing an image of an 8-bit plushy Blanka replacing Air Man in a battle against The Blue Bomber.
