Classic grooves now inbound

In the gameplay reveal trailer for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Injustice 2, a small Easter egg can be seen on the bottom of Michelangelo's skateboard that references a classic track from the early 90's TMNT: Turtles in Time game.

Mikey's skateboard features four decals on the bottom including a slice of pizza and a manhole cover with the text "NYC" for the brothers' native city. The reference comes from the other two decals with one being a red apple with the text "BIG" inside and below that is a slightly pixelated 3AM.

Both of the left-side stickers are a reference to the track Big Apple 3 A.M. which you can take a listen to down below and possibly have a flashback to Pogs or your old CRT.

At around the 24 second mark of the trailer, which you can also see below, Michelangelo tosses his skateboard aside and tells his opponent they are going to rage quit at which point you can briefly see the decals although you may need to pause to make them out clearly.

The trailer proceeds to show Mikey beating on Black Manta with said skateboard, now featuring rockets, along with an assist from his brother, Raphael.

Skateboards and nunchaku are not all that the orange-masked turtle brother has up his sleeve. In his character breakdown, he is also shown to be able to eat pizza in matches and perform "pizza cancels."
