Dragon Ball FighterZ producer will be joining EVO 2018 as a competitor

Will we see her dunk the competition?

Dragon Ball FighterZ producer, Tomoko Hiroki, announced yesterday that she'll be entering the game's EVO 2018 tournament as a fighter via a video on the Bandai Namco YouTube channel.

In the video you can see after the jump, Hiroki encourages everyone to practice a lot while giving a Vegeta-like fist bump and thanks the audience for their support before signing off with Goku's signature Japanese "see you later!"

Normally producers, directors, developers, and company staff refrain or are barred from entering competitions of games they have worked on to avoid any conflict of interest or potential advantages that could be seen as unfair to other players.

After joining Capcom, Peter "Combofiend" Rosas dropped from the competitive spotlight. He only appeared in the occasional exhibition match that was usually to promote a new game like his first-to-five set with Splyce|FilipinoChamp before the release of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of eight games getting mainstage representation at EVO this year along with another Bandai Namco fighter, Tekken 7, plus ArcSys developed Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle.

EVO 2018 is set to take place August 3-5 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Thank you jimk23 for the submission.
