You might remember a certain game that went by the title of "Fighting is Magic." This was an indie title that was under development that referenced the "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" series.

Unfortunately for the team working on this game, it was an unlicensed product. As a result of this, they were issued a cease and desist by Hasbro.

From here, the game went in a totally different direction. It was rebranded as "Them's Fightin' Herds." They even got Lauren Faust, executive producer of the Friendship is Magic series, to assist with the artwork for the game.

The playable characters in this game are all four-legged animals. It was announced earlier today that it will be releasing on Steam on February 22, 2018.

This game will be launching with many single player and multiplayer features. These include a story mode, arcade mode, survival mode, training room, target mode, dynamic music, multiplayer lobbies, online training, "the pixel lobby," and GGPO netcode.

There also appears to be a cross-promotional deal going on that unlocks unique lobby items if you also own BlazBlue Centralfiction, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator 2, or Skullgirls 2nd Encore.
