Here's how our Tekken 7 tiers sit at the end of 2018

2018 brought with it a few new Bandai Namco fighting game titles like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Soul Calibur 6, but it also featured one of their best selling franchises continuing to have support for its console port for a second year with Tekken 7.

The latest entry in the King of the Iron Fist tournament series has sold over 3.6 million units worldwide and had a second season of content revealed at EVO 2018 with Anna, Lei, Armor King and Marduk already in the hands of players plus Julia and The Walking Dead's Negan coming sometime in 2019.

With only one full day left in 2018, we here at EventHubs have been looking through our tier lists for major fighting game titles on our site to close out the year, and today is Tekken 7's turn.

We last reset our tier list for the game back in September when Season 2 first began, so we can easily compare how the first year ended to where it may be headed in the future with official support confirmed through at least 2019.

This year also brought with it the second go at the Tekken World Tour where Fursan|Rangchu ended up taking home the grand prize at finals with Panda of all characters which even had Katsuhiro Harada a bit surprised.

Below you'll find where our Tekken 7 tier list sits today compared to the end of Season 1 where Panda was actually at the very bottom with Kuma plus we'll have a closer look after the jump.

Surprisingly, Yoshimitsu has shot up 20 spaces to take the top spot on our Season 2 tier list thus far while the previous number one, Dragunov, has fallen down to almost the bottom though some of that could be due to a lower amount of votes compared to the previous year of building.

Rangchu's Panda has also gained some spaces from last place though she still sits at 34th out of 43 characters. Many players would tell you that almost anyone can be viable in this game, however — except maybe poor Lars.

Out of the other previous top five characters from the Season 1 list — Bryan, Devil Jin, Xiaoyu and Jack-7 — none of them currently sit in the top 10 for Season 2.

For the new DLC characters, Armor King sits just below King after less than one month at 12th, Marduk isn't far behind at 14th, Lei is the highest at fifth and Anna is in the lower half at 28th.

Many of you may disagree with how our tier list currently shakes up early into Tekken 7 Season 2, but they are voted upon by the EventHubs community. If you believe that you are knowledgeable about Tekken 7 match ups or ones for different games, you should register for our site and contribute to our tier lists and guides.
