Online events granting same point totals as Ranking events is both 'disrespectful' and 'trash'; Justin Wong shares his Capcom Pro Tour pros and cons

Two pros, five cons

The latest video from FOX|Justin Wong lays out the good, the bad and the ugly of the Capcom Pro Tour according to the 2018 Capcom Cup top eight finisher.

There are few players on the planet with more fighting game travel experience than Wong, and he expresses some fairly strong criticisms with the way things played out this year.

He kicks things off with two positive takeaways from the Tour, noting that the community building and prize pots have really helped the FGC in the way of growth and opportunity.

The first of Justin's issues is the sheer volume of tournaments on the Tour. The 2018 CPT featured more than 70 events all over the globe, and while Wong certainly sees the positive takeaways from such a large number, he also feels this is just too much for players.

Indeed, Wong expressed some travel fatigue during our exclusive Capcom Cup interview, and it seems he'll really be changing his approach next year.

Wong's list of cons is a good bit bigger than his pros, but he spends about half of his video offering positive advice on how Capcom might change things for the better in 2019. Give the video a watch and let us know what you think.
