Data mining from X-Kira allege new V-Break, V-Custom and V-Counter mechanics for Street Fighter 5
Plus new Critical Arts, V-Reversals and more
It's been a good while since we've heard from prominent Street Fighter 5 data miner X-Kira, but he's recently posted some new potential news for the game that, if true, looks to be a fairly huge gameplay update.
As always this should all be taken with a grain of salt as none of it is official. It's also important to recall that X-Kira's track record for SF5 predictions is noteworthy but by no means perfect. Please read on with that in mind.
Since the data miner has abandoned most all social media outlets we're getting this information from a NeoFighters forum thread.
Said post is in Portuguese but has been posted in English by one NinjaWorldWarrior16. There we see reference to what looks to be an overhaul to the game's current V-System.
It presents new mechanics including a new combo break, custom combo and some sort of cancel ability respectively titled "V-Break," "V-Custom" and "V-Cancel." It also claims that new Critical Arts and V-Reversals are to be added for certain characters.
You can read the English notes via the screen grabs here. X-Kira additionally discusses new stage packs as well as what he claims was Capcom's 2018 schedule in his full post.
