Cooler is armed with fantastic reach, three lows, an overhead special, and a meterless reversal in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Maximilian and HellPockets break Cooler down in Dragon Ball FighterZ before the character is released

Maximilian and HellPockets recently did a character breakdown of Cooler in Dragon Ball FighterZ thanks to a sneak peak provided by Bandai Namco. Cooler will be joining the roster at the end of September with one more mysterious fighter — who is most likely Android 17.

During the breakdown, we learned that Cooler actually has access to some rather far reaching normals. This is thanks to the fact that he has a tail. While Android 21 and Frieza also have tails, they're not packing the bulking form of Cooler.

Cooler also has some strong mix up options that will keep opponents guessing on block. He has access to three different low attacks — one of which actually reaches full screen.

One of Cooler's special attacks is actually an overhead. You can cancel a low attack into this overhead for a setup that will force enemies to block low then high.

Don't think you'll be able to pressure Cooler for free just because he's larger than most other characters. A certain special of Cooler's has invincibility frames that will even beat supers. The best part is, it costs no meter!

You can actually spend two bars on this reversal special — one at the beginning and one at the end. Not only does this deal a lot of damage, but it appears to create a powerful okizeme situation that favors Cooler.
