The first true unblockable setup may have just been discovered in Dragon Ball FighterZ

An inescapable dunk?

Dragon Ball FighterZ has become a title that occupies the same sort of space to many in the fighting game community that Marvel vs. Capcom does though there was one thing missing from the newer title that many of the previous games had — for better or worse, unblockable setups.

Russian player Georg Shkodo believes he has just discovered the first unblockable setup in Dragon Ball FighterZ to effectively negate what was written in the previous sentence, and it appears fairly simple to do.

To pull off this setup, players will need a team consisting of Gotenks, Kid Buu and Android 16 / Trunks plus five bars of Super Meter and the corner. The trick is to hit the opponent with a Gotenks combo in the corner or that carries them to the corner where you'll then send out his Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack on the combo reset.

As the opponent is blocking the ghosts, quickly DHC into Kid Buu's level one Super and then time it to where the beams will hit after you then call in Android 16 or Trunks with their level three command grab Supers which will seemingly hit them whether they block on the ground or try to jump back and block in the air — as Kid Buu's beams will knock them back down into the grab.

Shkodo claims that the only counter to this setup would be an invincible reversal or a counter level three though it will beat attacks, blocking, reflecting, jumping, vanishing and guard cancels.

You can check out Shkodo's video after the jump where he shows off this setup / reset situation and how to perform it for yourself plus the combo itself below. Let us know in the comments section if you are able to recreate this and how you think it could affect the game moving forward.
