Daigo reveals who he thinks will be in Season 4 of Street Fighter 5

And he provides some evidence to back it up

We're still trying to figure out the ins and outs of characters like Cody, see if we can't further the potential of Blanka and Sakura, and are riding the hype wave that came with the surprise release of G and Sagat, but already predictions for Street Fighter 5's unannounced fourth season are beginning to emerge.

Perhaps the most celebrated fighting gamer of all time, CYG|Daigo Umehara, sat down briefly with Twin Galaxies to offer his insightful predictions on the matter, and it's more than just a list of characters he's hoping to see.

The back to back EVO 2009 and 2010 champion brought up one fighter in particular — one of the handful he used back during tournaments in the Street Fighter 4 days — that he thinks there's already a case for based on SF5's current story and reveals thus far.

We jump back to the Season 3 DLC character reveal video from back in December of last year to see the root of Daigo's argument as Ryu and Akuma prepare for and engage in battle inside of a massive waterfall.

"In the promotional trailer for the characters for Season 3, you kind of see yourself turning into Evil Ryu, so I’m expecting that Evil Ryu will come out in the next drop, that’s a possibility," he told Twin Galaxies.

Daigo went on to share a few other prospects for the next batch of DLC, but you'll have to head over to Twin Galaxies to see who they all are.

You can check out the video Daigo is referencing right here. The battle between Ryu and Akuma is spread out between the beginning and the end and you'll want to see both parts for the full picture.
