Update: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate EVO exhibition featuring Infiltration, Alex Myers, ESAM, HookGangGod and more now live
This should be interesting to say the least
Update: The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate exhibition at EVO stream is now live; check it out after the jump.
We're currently in the thick of EVO 2018's first day with pool play going down for the games featured on the EVO mainstage though there's also games being played that have yet to see their full release to take their spot on the big stage.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be the most anticipated game for many players around the world this year, but it does already have a presence at EVO this year — along with other events like E3, CEO and San Diego Comic-Con.
Nintendo is holding a special exhibition tonight, August 3rd, for Smash Ultimate featuring some professional Smash players paired up with their FGC brethren from other games like Street Fighter.
This exhibition will feature four teams representing Panda Global, Tempo Storm, EVO, and NRG. Team Panda Global will be made up of PG|Infiltration and PG|ESAM, Team Tempo Storm features Tempo|Axe and Tempo|Alex Myers, Team EVO will have commentators EE and Rip, and Team NRG will feature NRG|Nairo and NRG|HookGangGod.
Rules for the exhibition haven't been announced, so we'll likely need to wait until the stream begins to learn how this mash-up of players are going to throw down in the latest Smash Bros. title.
The stream is set to start at 6:00 p.m. PDT on the main EVO Twitch channel followed by a Soul Calibur 6 exhibition. You can check out the full announcement from Nintendo below and the stream after the jump.
