Potential first look at the Superior Spider-Man DLC costume in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
Can be obtained by purchasing Spider-Man Homecoming on consoles
Earlier this month, we learned that Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite owners could obtain a special costume for Spider-Man by purchasing the Spider-Man Homecoming film on consoles. Those who opt to buy the movie will receive a code that grants them access to the exclusive Superior Spider-Man alternate outfit.
With the film being released digitally yesterday, it looks as though some players have gotten a code for the costume. Adam AJ Moore on Twitter spotted a set of screenshots of the costume in-game on a since-removed Imgur page. The images show all four colors for the new costume.
The different palettes represent certain Spider-Man suits. Color 1 is default, color 2 is Spider-Gwen, color 3 is Superior Venom, and color 4 is Iron Spider.
What's also interesting about this costume is the fact that, when selecting it, it is labeled as wave 1. Each of the current pre-order costumes is categorized as wave 2, which may indicate that we'll be seeing two full runs of costumes for each of the characters on the roster.
The Microsoft Store made mention of the Superior Spider-Man costume's value, giving it a price tag of $3.99. We can only hope this means that the DLC outfit will become available for standalone purchase sometime in the future.
With the original source of these images now unavailable, we're hesitant to say that these are 100% authentic. Considering how advanced PC modding has become in this day and age, these could simply be the result of a PC savvy player.
However, we do have another bit of evidence to support the legitimacy.

Reddit user Beachballwithteeth uploaded a quick GIF showing the Superior Spider-Man costume in action.
While this still could be a PC mod of some sort, I'm willing to bet that this costume is the real deal based on what we've seen and the movie's release yesterday.

At this time, it doesn't appear that many players have received their costume codes. It shouldn't be long before we start seeing them roll out.
