If you haven't seen Dominique "FOX|SonicFox" Mclean play Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite yet, you're missing out. The young competitor is currently on a tear with his Rocket Raccoon and Jedah team.

Last week, SonicFox took first place in MvCI at the Next Level Battle Circuit in New York, placing over prominent Marvel series players such as PG|RayRay and METHOD|Flux.

The very next day, Fox defeated Marvel vs. Capcom 3 legend Ryan "SPY|Filipino Champ" Ramirez in not one, but two first-to-10 sets at Bum1six's House of Chaos -- a gathering of pro players that garnered over 11,000 viewers at one time.

Though it is still very early in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's lifespan, SonicFox is looking incredibly strong right now, and when you're among the strongest competitors in the world, often times you'll find others gunning for your title. Enter PG|Punk.

On Twitter today, Victor "Punk" Woodley stated that he will be attending Next Level Battle Circuit tonight in order to "take down" SonicFox in Marvel Infinite.

Though SonicFox did not directly respond to Punk's challenge, his replies to others seem to insinuate that he will indeed be competing at the event tonight.

Punk is revered as one of the best players competing in Street Fighter 5 today, with numerous championships under his belt.

Though Punk has been spending time playing Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, his results haven't been quite as strong as SonicFox's. Having said that, Punk should in no way be counted out as he is an exceptional fighting game player in his own right, and has seen much success at Next Level Battle Circuit.

Next Level Battle Circuit will kick off around 7 p.m. EDT / 4 p.m. PDT, and you can catch all of the action over on TeamSpooky. We can only hope that these two players will meet somewhere in the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite bracket tonight and get the chance to slug it out.

In the meantime, we have a fresh set of matches featuring SonicFox taking on Marvel series veteran Clockw0rk. Click the GIF below for a preview of what you can expect here.
