SNES Classic owners have been adding fighting games (and more) to the mini console's library of games - see how to do it

Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat, Clay Fighter, and... even the legendary Shaq Fu?

If you're like me, you managed to get a hold on the SNES Classic and have been enjoying its library of 21 games. Did you know that it is actually possible to add more games?

For us fighting game fans, this console is missing some favorites like Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat 2, Mortal Kombat 3, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Clay Fighter, and Shaq Fu -- alright, maybe that last one isn't anyone's favorite.

In fact, the only fighter that came with the SNES Classic was Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting. The selection of games was certainly great don't get me wrong here.

Video game fans have already figured out a way to add additional SNES games to this mini console. Of course, many have been adding fighters as well.

It is technically legal to back up your games into ROM files as long as you are the owner of the game and you do it yourself. Also be aware of the possibility of bricking your console by doing this...

Apparently someone wanted to show off Killer Instinct on the SNES Classic:
