Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite released on September 19, 2017. While this was in the later part of the month, a large number of sales wouldn't be out of the question for a title like this, right?

According to the PlayStation Blog, the game only ranked 19th in terms of the number of downloads from the PlayStation Store. This is for the entire month of September and for the United States.

Unfortunately, this doesn't bode too well for the title. Many games that have ranked above MvCI have been out for a good while now.

Earlier this year, we found out that Capcom has the goal of selling 2 million units for this particular game. Will they be able to do it?

Given, this doesn't paint the entire picture of the scenario. There are still the disc sales for the PS4 version, the Xbox One sales, and the Steam sales that need to be accounted for.

We'll just have to wait and see what this means for the long haul. Hit the jump below to check out the top 20 downloaded games for the PlayStation 4 for the month of September.
