Capcom has released a new blog over on the Japanese CFN today. This installment gives us a look at the concept ideas for Street Fighter 5's latest school uniforms.

In the most recent game update, we saw three new school-themed outfits become available. Menat, Cammy, and Ed all received their own unique attire, and featured here is more information on the motivation behind the designs.

The Capcom blog was written entirely in Japanese, but our very own MajinTenshinhan has provided us with a full English translation. What follows is the full translated piece.

Here's our second pack of Street Fighter school costumes. "What if the Street Fighters were students?" - that's the concept behind these designs.

-Cammy's School Uniform-

She feels like an honors student. We had some designs for a colder climate as well, as you can see, though honestly, the way she usually dresses seems quite chilly...

We figured she was living at the student dorms.

-Ed's School Uniform-

He looks like an intelligent student with good upbringing. What a handsome young man...

I'm sure that his father (?) Balrog is very happy about it, too.

His hair is a little bit longer than it is in his regular costume.

-Menat's School Uniform-

The new character, miss Menat, also gets to be a student.

Our concept was an exchange student who loves fortune-telling and spends all of her time in the school library. We have a whole mountain of sketches for her costume here...

And that's what we've got. We decided to pinpoint it for a September release since that's when the school term starts in most countries abroad.

What will this new school year bring?
