Raiden has now been released in Injustice 2. You are only able to get this fighter if you have the Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition, Ultimate Pack, or Fighter Pack #2.

The rest of us will have to wait until October 6th to purchase Raiden as a separate character. Raiden is the second out of three characters that will be available with the Fighter Pack #2.

Raiden is the first DLC character to also have a premiere skin. If you want to play as Black Lightning instead of Raiden, that option is available.

While Mortal Kombat was originally released in the arcades on October 8th, 1992, his release is noted to be in celebration of Mortal Kombat's 25th anniversary.

As indicated by the character breakdown, this is a combatant that sports a very high risk, high reward style of gameplay. You can easily take down those pesky zoners by utilizing his very fast teleport.

If you are interested in purchasing the character by himself on October 6th, he'll cost $5.99. The next character we'll be getting information for will be Hellboy.

Below is a handful of images for Raiden's appearance in Injustice 2. After the jump, you can check out his trailer again.
