We got two new trailers from EVO Japan today, both driving the hype even further as the fighting game community's biggest yearly major event makes its way to Japan this upcoming January.

The first of these is completely in Japanese while the second is geared more towards English speakers, but both capture the essence and excitement of the world class major as it finally makes its trek out to the East.

Registration is open now through December 31st, and Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition already has more than 1,000 entrants signed up, which will make things especially interesting considering the fact that Arcade Edition will only have been out for nine days before the event.

With the inclusion of new V-Triggers and extended combos, there's quite a bit of potential that Street Fighter 5 will be turned on its head at least in terms of gameplay. We're excited to see what the best players do with these fresh mechanics.

You can view the current registration numbers for all games, (SF5, Guilty Gear Rev 2, Tekken 7, King of Fighters 14, Smash 4, BlazBlue and ARMS) by clicking the thumbnail image.

You'll catch both trailers for EVO Japan after the jump below.
