While the majority of the FGC was expecting a Sagat reveal, Capcom did come through with a big surprise as they unveiled a new trailer for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition.

While there was no mention of any new characters, the conclusion of the trailer saw a mention for Capcom Cup in December, dressed with floating Cherry Blossom petals.

When the cameras returned to the crowd, a flurry of pink flowers filled the arena, one of which TS|Alex Myers (a prominent Sakura player back in the Street Fighter 4 days) took a clear photo of.

Cherry Blossoms are the national flower of Japan, and are known as "sakura," leaving little room for doubt that Capcom is planning something with the immensely popular school girl character.

With this, we look forward even more to PlayStation Experience and Capcom Cup for more information about upcoming DLC in Street Fighter 5's next season.

You can view the hinting images in the gallery here, including the confetti as well as a final shot from the trailer. We've included the animated last shot from the trailer as well, which allows you to see the petals better.
