Early gameplay of Geese Howard in Tekken 7

He definitely doesn't look USELESS...

We were expecting to see Geese Howard this weekend at the Tekken World Tour Finals, and it seems GameSpot is the first out of the gate to show off the Fatal Fury/King of Fighters baddie in Tekken 7.

Like his fellow guest fighter, Akuma, Geese enters the battle with a special meter bar that he can build and spend for super attacks. He also gets access to the Max Mode mechanic if he so chooses to spend meter to do so.

As expected, we see a collection of familiar attacks including his Reppuuken and his brutal command grab wherein he clutches his foes off the ground by the face only to toss them back down.

Geese appears to retain much of the personality and play style that has him so beloved by so many SNK fans, but also seems to integrate nicely into the 3D Tekken arena.

The gameplay here is fairly casual, so we're only seeing the basics right now. That said, we do get a pretty well rounded idea of Geese's general move arsenal, movement potential and style from watching.

Here's a quick clip to highlight a few cool specials, and you can watch the entire showcase below.
