Capcom has released their latest financial report over on their Investor Relations website.

According to the latest report, Marvel Infinite has shipped 900,000 copies worldwide since its launch on September 19th. This number takes into account units on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Last month, we saw MvCI place as the 6th best-selling game for September 2017 in the US. The NPD chart showed that the title was also the 5th best-selling on PlayStation 4 for the month and the 8th on Xbox One.

Media Crate reported Marvel Infinite's PlayStation 4 sales in Japan as a little over 8,000 copies in its first week of release.

Early numbers didn't look promising, as Metro Gaming reported the game placing 12th on the overall charts in the UK,and in the U.S., Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite placing 19th on PlayStation Store's top download charts.

Outside of the units shipped, Capcom's latest report didn't seem to say much more about Marvel Infinite. It notes Monster Hunter XX's strong performance on the Nintendo Switch, and mentions MvCI's release window.

"In this business, Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) Nintendo Switch Ver. (for Nintendo Switch) performed strongly, while Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC), which targets the European and US markets, was released in September," the report reads.

Capcom is showing support for the game with the release of various DLC throughout the year. So far, we've seen three of the six additional characters released, with three more on the way by the end of 2017.

We've also seen the first wave of premium costumes released for 18 characters from the game's launch roster. We can expect the remaining fighters' costumes to follow in the future.

On top of that, the company is currently running the Battle For the Stones tournament series, which allows winners of specific events to wield one of the Infinity Stones and use its power to alter the rules of the match. This circuit will be coming to a close early next month with the finals set to take place in Anaheim.
