Other versions of Gohan and Majin Buu being added to the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster? The game's latest trailer has a very interesting hint

An update to their names can be seen in-game

Gohan in his teenage form and the pudgy Majin Buu are currently playable characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ. However, we might be seeing more versions of them enter the battle.

Early yesterday, Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the game that showcased new story mode scenes, as well as a recap of the battle system and modes found in the 3v3 fighting title.

A keen-eyed Twitter user named madluk spotted a change to both characters' names in the gameplay footage portion of the trailer. We now see that both fighters have a specification of what version the character is written in parenthesis after their name.

For Gohan, the text in the parenthesis reads "Young Version." We're not quite sure what Buu's says, but I can only assume it says something close to "Fat Buu."

So far, we've seen a similar style for Goku and Vegeta. Their standard Super Saiyan versions simply read "Goku" and "Vegeta," while their blue counterparts have "SSGSS" in parenthesis -- Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (also known as Super Saiyan Blue).

This update to Gohan and Buu's names seem to suggest that there will be other playable versions of them in the game. Why else would there be a need to differentiate?

Gohan has taken on several forms throughout the series, including kid Gohan, Ultimate-Gohan, and even the goofy super hero "the Great Saiyaman." Buu has also seen different versions, with the most prominent being Kid Buu and Super Buu.
