Street Fighter 5 Season 2.1 adds another great Third Strike homage, here's how the Kanzuki Beach stage changed for the next update

Last time, we saw VesperArcade break down the changes made to Guile's Street Fighter 5 stage in the current PC beta. The upcoming patch adds some new bits of flare to the stage, including breakable crates (which is an homage to the original Street Fighter 2 stage), interactions from NPCs, and more.

Capcom took a similar approach to Street Fighter 5's Kanzuki Beach backdrop, and today we learn what's been improved.

Vesper shows that the background characters now react to what is going on in any given match. The Rival Schools characters on the left jump and flip when a knockdown happens, and Street Fighter 3's Judgement girls -- the four girls in the middle of the stage -- topple over in the midst of the excitement.

But perhaps the most interesting change made to this stage is the newly added Third Strike Easter egg. When a round ends in Time Over, the four Judgement girls hold up their signs to show which fighter was victorious, just like they did back in Street Fighter 3.

Vesper goes on to analyze some of the changes made to the CFN, his findings when testing the netcode, and more. You can check out the video after the jump.
