With Tekken 7 getting additional guests characters, who are we hoping to see? DreamKing and MajinTenshinhan share their picks, let us know yours

It was recently announced that Tekken 7: Fated Retribution will be receiving additional guest characters post-launch.

While specifics on the two guest characters set to join Akuma in the King of Iron Fist Tournament are scarce, what we do know is that they will be from video games.

With that in mind, me and my eternal partner-in-crime Steven "DreamKing" Chavez decided to write up what characters we're hoping made the cut to join the Tekken franchise.
Although the banner already shows you our picks, continue below for our reasoning - and also, to share your thoughts with us in the comments.

Nick's pick: Geese Howard

Although there's no particular restriction that the guests have to be from fighting games, that's where my mind instantly went after seeing how well they implemented Akuma in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, making him feel at home to Street Fighter fans, but still work well within the Tekken style of gameplay.

When I started thinking about fighting game characters that I'd love to see implemented under Tekken producer/director Katsuhiro Harada's guidance I had a flashback to a GameRevolution interview where he talked about additional guest characters, and noted that he'd personally like to add Geese Howard to the title.

Honestly, once I had that Geese image in my mind, nothing else could sway me. Geese Howard has always been such a complex and fantastic character, especially gameplay-wise, and seeing the Tekken team take on the challenge of transferring this deep character into the vastly different Tekken system could be a huge treat.

From everything I've seen of Tekken 7, I have full confidence in their ability to make any character work if motivated enough, and even though it may seem like a somewhat boring choice since it falls perfectly in line with what Harada has already said himself, it's just too perfect for me to ignore.

The day I see a full Deadly Rave in Tekken is the day I can happily leave fighting games behind me, for nothing will ever surpass that moment.

Steven's pick: Jago

Bandai Namco appears to be open to characters from any fighting game being added to Tekken 7. Personally, I'd love to see Jago from Killer Instinct make the cut.

Killer Instinct is a combo-heavy game, and the Tekken series is no stranger to long, complex strings. Seeing the auto-double and linker system transfered over to the Tekken foundation would be awesome, and Jago would fit in quite well with the colorful cast of demons, robots, wrestlers, and martial artists.

One thing that might be seen as a hurdle at a glance is Jago's fireball. However, Street Fighter's Akuma has the same tool, and Bandai Namco implemented the character's projectile smoothly into a 3D plain.

While I don't think Jago is a likely guest character choice, he is one that I would certainly be happy to see. Especially if they equipped him with some sort of combo breaker ability (but balanced it, of course).

Which guest characters are you hoping get added to Tekken 7: Fated Retributions? Let us know in the comments.
