Alex cannot perform Slash Elbow right after landing Air Knee Smash in current version of Street Fighter 5, check out this strange bug in action

In Street Fighter 5, Alex uses his Slash Elbow to cover ground quickly and move in on his opponent. But what appears to be a strange bug has been discovered that prevents him from performing the special move after landing his Air Knee Smash (anti-air knee attack) despite having enough time to charge.

Monokeros recorded a quick video demonstrating the oddity.

Unfortunately for Alex players, this prevention goes into effect whenever the Air Knee Smash hits successfully. This means that Alex loses his meaty Slash Elbow pressure (if the opponent goes for normal recovery) whether the attack hits as an anti-air or in combo.

Alex can, however, still perform his down/up charge moves right after the knee smash, meaning this is specific to Slash Elbow.

You can check out the footage after the jump.
