Eagle gameplay reveal in Killer Instinct, game coming to Steam later this year

We've now gotten some prerecorded gameplay of Eagle in Killer Instinct, which was featured at CEO 2017 before the grand finals of the game's tournament. Eagle, the brother of Thunder, is the next downloadable character coming to the game.

Being that he holds a bow, it looks like he takes a zoning approach rather than the grappler's approach that his brother takes. A lot of his moves remind of Green Arrow from Injustice and Hawkeye from MvC.

In addition to this, he has a mechanical bird that is always with him. This bird can be utilized to perform attacks without an animation from Eagle himself -- which means these attacks essentially function like "assists" similar to ARIA.

Of course, Eagle is not able to just keep zoning and running away. He has a limited number of arrows in which he is able to fire.

In order to replenish his arrow stock, he has to go out of his way to pick them up. He starts out with a whopping twelve arrows, however.

It was also announced that Killer Instinct will be coming to Steam later this year. An exact date was not given beyond that.
