Demo out now: The Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite story mode demo is available in most major territories. It's a 5.7 gigabyte download.

At the Sony E3 press conference, a story mode demo for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was revealed to be playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Although it was announced that the playable demo was available now, initial reports said it couldn't be found right away, so it should only be a matter of time before it surfaces.

Also, several new cast members were shown in the trailer, like Dante, Arthur, Dr. Strange, Zero, Nova, Black Panther, Gamora, Thanos, and Spencer.

These new fighters were joined by previously confirmed fighters like Ryu, Chun-Li, Chris Redfield, Mega Man X, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Iron Man, and many others.

To help give readers an idea of who's been showcased so far, and who's remaining from the leak list, we've created a breakdown below. Also, Black Panther was revealed as a DLC fighter.

The new story mode trailer was about three minutes long, and gives gamers a much better idea of how the cinematic story mode will work in the upcoming title.

Characters showcased

We've created a list to help keep tabs on who has and hasn't been shown officially so far, and who's remaining in the leak list.

Capcom characters officially shown
Chris Redfield
Mega Man X
Sigma (DLC)

Marvel characters officially shown
Black Panther (DLC)
Captain America
Captain Marvel
Dr. Strange
Iron Man
Rocket Raccoon

Leak list characters remaining
Monster Hunter

Characters shown who were not on leak list
Black Panther

It's interesting that both Black Panther and Zero were showcased in the latest trailer, but weren't on the leak list. Black Panther was just confirmed as DLC, but Zero was confirmed as a playable fighter who is not DLC. It's possible he was the omission that was spoken about previously via the leak though on the Capcom side of the roster.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be released on September 19, 2017, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
