'Juri is like the Dan of Street Fighter 5' - Sooa, the top placing Juri at EVO 2017, talks about popping off, SF5, gaming as a girl and more
If PandaTV|Sooa isn't on your radar for most entertaining Street Fighter players to watch, your radar needs fixing.
The Korean Juri, known for her impressive play, colorful costumes and animated stream reactions, took the sinister sadist farther than any other EVO competitor this year with a 97th place finish.
Capcom's Matt Edwards caught up with Sooa after her EVO run and was able to score a stellar interview that grants us a closer look into the mind and persona of the graceful fighter.
Sooa offers her feelings about Juri, explaining why she chooses to play her, and how she feels (similar to the sentiments of much of the SF community) that her character needs a few buffs.
Edwards also gets Sooa's thoughts on the concept of girls-only tournaments, being part of the feminine minority in the FGC and her animated stream antics.
You'll see the full interview after the jump, and here's a hilarious example of one of the Korean player's pop offs:
