Abigail's reveal trailer actually showcased a slightly bigger version of the character than normal

Measuring in at eight feet tall and peaking over even the mighty Hugo, Abigail is the largest character to date in the Street Fighter universe. As such, fans were expecting a pretty gargantuan figure, but what we saw in Sunday's EVO reveal was almost too much for some.

Here on EventHubs, we even wrote a few articles up specifically examining Abigail's size and taking a speculative look at aesthetics as well as how his hulking stature may affect gameplay.

Street Fighter fans are certainly no strangers to bigger bodied characters, but still social media almost immediately began asking whether or not the new fighter was throwable, and if regular characters could jump over him for cross ups.

It seems that the Abigail we saw in the EVO trailer is actually not the standard size for the character, but was rather his V-Trigger iteration.

When he activates, Abigail's muscles become even larger than normal (though his head stays the same size) and the trailer showcased him in a constant state of V-Trigger.

This included his intro and win animations, as well as the entirety of the gameplay footage. Here's a GIF comparing the two sizes:

Though this is a bit of a snafu, we are relatively happy to learn that Abigail's proportions are not quite as extreme as we first thought.

Indeed we got to see the character in a more comprehensive nature during yesterday's Winner Stays On Sessions, which is also where Dhevil1 noticed the discrepancy.

Here's another look at Abigail's transformation. It isn't astounding, but it is something:
