Real life taunt from Wolfkrone at Frosty Faustings further escalates already storied rivalry with K-Brad

Yesterday's finals at Frosty Faustings featured some very entertaining, high level tournament play, but one Street Fighter 5 set in particular highlighted a growing feud that's approaching WWE levels of drama.

Wolfkrone and EG|K-Brad have faced off in two top eight brackets and three different sets thus far in 2017. These players have seen success and have both been spotlighted over the course of Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter 5, but the once training partners' relationship has taken a turn for the worse.

Their bout at Frost Faustings included minimal interaction, and concluded with a gloat from Wolfkrone that was very obviously not received in good fun by his opponent. The audio for this portion of the stream archive is unfortunately muted, but you can see the final moments of their set along with Wolfkrone's post match taunts:

During a stream session after Kumite In Tennessee earlier this month, K-Brad went into detail about his and Krone's past, including their transition from training partners to less than amiable rivals.
K-Brad was one of the most successful American players in Street Fighter 5 last year, and with a constantly full schedule of travel and competition, made it to Capcom Cup. A first round win against Japanese god BST|Daigo further solidified his status as a force to be reckoned with in SF5.

Wolfkrone did not see as much success in 2016, but kicked off SF5's second season with a victory at Kumite in Tenessee and instantly began garnering back the attention from days passed when he and his SF4 C. Viper were one of the most feared duos in the business.

It was at KIT that these two met after SF5's first major balance patch, and though K-Brad would be victorious in the winners bracket, Wolfkrone would come out ahead in their losers bracket runback.

During his recent stream, K-Brad explained that he and Krone trained together as far back as before the former's sponsorship with Evil Geniuses started. Their initial focus was to prepare for the prominent Ken players of earlier Street Fighter 4 days.

As both rose to prominence, they would meet multiple times in some pretty epic Cammy vs. C. Viper clashes over the course of SF4. The friendship went south because of personal drama, and things have been on the decline ever since. You can view K-Brad's talk, (which includes excessive NSFW language) right here.

Considering we've seen them both reach the latter part of the brackets in both tournaments they've participated in this year, it's likely we'll see these two clash again in 2017. Their storied past makes for an even more exciting competition, and we look forward to seeing which direction the pendulum swings in their tournament rivalry.
