'If this title sells extremely well we’ll consider it... for the time being it’s only going to be on [the] Switch' - Ono on USF2 console availability

IGN recently had an interview with Yoshinori Ono from Capcom. The topic of discussion was the recently announced Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers.

We managed to get a new piece of information from Ono here.

When asked about whether or not Ultra Street Fighter 2 will be released for other consoles, Ono had this to say:
"If this title sells extremely well we’ll consider it. We put a lot of thought into how this can be fully enjoyed on the Nintendo Switch, so for the time being it’s only going to be on [the] Switch."
Many fans have speculated that Ultra Street Fighter 2 will be a timed exclusive for the Nintendo Switch. Based on Ono's statement, that concept is pretty plausible.

At the very least, this certainly does indicate that we won't see a release of Ultra Street Fighter 2 on other consoles or the PC at the same time as the Nintendo Switch.

Either Ono is trying to encourage people to buy Ultra Street Fighter 2 for the Nintendo Switch but actually is aware that there will be a release for other consoles or Capcom really is waiting on how well the game sells just on the Nintendo Switch.

Of course, Ono mentions that they'll only "consider it" if it sells well on the Nintendo Switch. Nothing is guaranteed right now.
