Vergil and Sephiroth fight over the title of best swordsman in the latest Death Battle episode
Both combatants have impressive regeneration and supernatural abilities
The Death Battle series is back with another breakdown of a fight that pits two characters against one another in a fight to the death. This time we're seeing the battle between Sephiroth from the Final Fantasy series and Vergil from Devil May Cry.
Fans of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 either have fond memories or bad dreams regarding Vergil. This was a character that was considered to be top tier. Maybe even the best fighter in the game.
Meanwhile, we've seen a playable version of Sephiroth in the Final Fantasy Dissidia series. He tends to be the main enemy of Cloud -- the Final Fantasy representative that was playable in Super Smash Bros. 4.
Both of these combatants are well known for their superb swordsman abilities. They can also both augment their techniques with supernatural powers.
Not only this, but they can fight by using multiple forms. Neither of them are quite human, after all...
