Beerus' orbs are not a Super, but a special move that he can do any time; Maximilian breaks down this unique Dragon Ball FighterZ character

The God of Destruction is all about space control, and is unlike most everyone else on the roster

We're continuing our coverage of new Dragon Ball FighterZ character breakdowns from Maximilian, today highlighting Beerus, the God of Destruction.

Max likens the purple cat to fellow ArcSys character Venom from the Guilty Gear series because of his ability to drop and manipulate projectiles on the screen. It's not a one to one comparison, but Venom is probably going to be the best comparison when it comes to existing characters.

The orbs you've likely seen are a regular special move, and do not require Super meter to utilize. Beerus also has a "get off me" move that sees him blast his foes away from him, leading us to believe he will be a very zoning/space control heavy fighter.

His level three Super is a command grab that can actually be his Hakai (Destruction technique that causes the victim to simply cease to exist) if it KO's his opponent.

Beerus is quite different from the rest of the DBF roster, which is a bit of a relief considering some of the characters revealed early on have reportedly felt a bit similar in the way they play.

Check out this sequence that shows how Beerus can manipulate his orbs attack in various ways, including calling them back to formation after they've been moved from their original places:
